A different universe

Anthony Rocha da Silva currently lives happily and always with enough motivation to discover the new challenges in life. Those who know the happy and curious teenager may not be able to imagine everything he has had to face in order to start discovering the world in a lighter way.

At birth, Anthony developed normally, until he was almost two years old. At that time, Zeni Figueiredo, Anthony's mother, began to realize that he might have something that was not easily identifiable, but it did not escape a mother's attentive eyes.

“He was developing well, when out of nowhere, he stopped talking. That's when we took him to specialist doctors and even for therapy. The exams started to be made and the effective diagnosis took a long time to appear”, said the mother, who is also a nursing technician.

From that moment on the family's life changed dramatically. In order to see the boy happy and healthy, Zeni started to dedicate herself integrally to Anthony. However, the confirmation of severe autism came only when Anthony began attending school.

“We were very well assisted. The principal called us at school and raised the possibility for suspected autism, as they had witnessed a similar case with another child. At that moment, we started looking for neurologists who confirmed the suspicions our suspicions. ”.

Over time, the autism intensified as Anthony grew and the complications started to become more evident. However, it was between 7 and 8 years old that Anthony began to show aggressive signs, in addition to very strong epileptic seizures.

“When he started taking resperidone, we started to lose some control. In addition to starting to eat a lot, he became a more aggressive child. The crises were very bad. There were times when he started to break vases inside the house. He started throwing school chairs at his friends. It even broke my sewing machine into a thousand pieces”, recalls Zeni.

Then Zeni's eldest daughter started looking for alternative treatments that could help control her brother's autism and epilepsy. In Facebook groups, they discovered the existence of cannabidiol and decided to do the test with a generic laboratory.
